Relaxing Reiki : A Quick nap during a Day

Hello beautiful Souls..  I hope and pray that you always be blessed with positive energy within & around you.

I am practicing reiki since 2012 & this year I found something new about it. It is very usual with any reiki practitioner, but I found it later so sharing it with you today.

Whenever I feel tired and I thought I need some more sleeping hours to charge my body and mind; I started reiki flow lying in bed in silence,  within half  an hour everything gets sorted. Reiki charges my body and mind within half an hour. It relaxes you completely. I feel so fresh and energized after that session. I usually do this in afternoon because I feel tired after working in morning. And I need to get recharged for working more hours in the evening.

Another thing when it helpful is whenever you mess up in troubles and can’t able to find any proper solution then this quick nap will definitely help you by relaxing your mind and find the best possible solution.

Reiki helps me out every time I need it. Reiki changed my life completely & I will be thankful to this positive life energy throughout my life. I would suggest, if you get any chances to experience Reiki Energy or learn it then never miss it. Just give it a try once.

You can share your experiences of Reiki Energy with me in the comments or more in the mailbox. I would love to know and will publish on the blog. You can mail me at sytlewedsfashion@gmail.com

Save your Children from STRESS…

Stress is very common condition. You can see it in every human being. There is no one who haven’t deal with the stress once in a lifetime. Most of the time Stress occurs because of the situations, post-traumatic , hormonal imbalance, etc.

Being an adult you can understand what is stress in your feeling and how to deal with it. But in case of children, they doesn’t have any knowledge about stressful feelings, what to do with that feelings so they can’t handle it with their mental situation.

The sources of stress can be external such as a problem at school, changes in the family,  conflict with a friend. Anxious feelings can also be caused by child’s internal feelings like doing well in studies , doing more of their interests.

  • Big changes in the family like divorce, a death or a birth of new sibling.
  • Constantly running from one activity to another can cause a great deal of stress for children, who usually need some me-time every once in while.
  • Children who are bullied often feel embarrassed about being targeted and they may hide the bullying from parents or teachers for fear of drawing attention to their perceived weaknesses.

Parents have to take care of all this things.

  • Try to understand mental status of your child.
  • Don’t force your child to do the things in which they have least or no interest.
  • Make they to study in stress-free environment at home.
  • Behave like a friend & help them to solve their problems wisely.
  • Try to improve their weaknesses without putting them into competitions for that particular weakness.

Childhood traumas such as living in an abusive home or being neglected, can contribute to a wide array of problems down the road,  including drug and alcohol addiction, depression and anxiety & even Cardiovascular diseases.

It is very important to save your child from having stress in their early life because chronic stress and anxiety leads to mood disorders & anxiety disorders in Adulthood.

An Orange a day is as important as an Apple a day for your Health, Why?

Why this Apple is so famous? Have you all any idea about it? Well well, I am talking about the fruit -Apple, not that iphone company.

By the way that Iphone company Apple also make the apple very well known. But some other things are like since we start learning an Alphabet, the very first alphabet is A and we identity it as A for APPLE. And another is that famous quote for health is “An Apple a day, Keeps the Doctor away.” Remember it? I know who can forget that? 😃

I am not criticising the popularity of Apple. But just like Apple, What do you know about Orange? Except that it is good source of Vitamin C.

Let me tell you guys….Orange is a good source of vitamins and minerals, especially vitamin C,thiamin, folate and potassium.

Flavanoids in Oranges helps to prevent against the eye disease.

A new study has shown that people who regularly eat oranges are less likely to develop macular degeneration(eye disease) than people who do not eat oranges.

The research showed that people who ate at least one serving of oranges everyday had more than a 60% reduced risk of developing late macular degeneration 15 years later.

Eating an orange once a week seems to offer significant benefits. Data shows that flavonoids found in oranges appear to help protect against the disease.

Flavonoids are powerful antioxidants found in almost all fruits and vegetables, and they have important anti-inflammatory benefits for the immune system. Common foods which contain flavonoids are tea, apples, red wine and oranges.

For Macular degeneration age is the strongest known risk factor and the disease is more likely to occur after the age of 50. There is currently no cure for the disease. So it’s better to prevent by adding an Orange to your daily diet. ☺

Does your Child suffering from Childhood Obesity ?

The changing dietary practices and sedentary lifestyle have led to an increased prevalence of childhood obesity in the 6 to 12 year age group children in India.

Obesity is one of the major health problem worldwide. Childhood obesity is a health issue seen in both developed and developing countries. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), obesity is defined as abnormal or excessive fat accumulation that presents a risk of health. Childhood obesity is associated with high risk of adulthood obesity and a series of health problems such as insulin resistance, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, type II diabetes mellitus, sleep apnea, gallbladder disease and psychological problems.

According to the WHO, BMI is one of the best indicators for obesity and is classified as underweight (<18.50), normal range(18.50 – 24.99), preobese(25 – 29.99) and obese(>30.00). Obese is further classified as class I, II & III.

Children with BMI above the 95th percentile are termed as Obese. The fundamental cause of obesity is an energy imbalance between calories consumed and expended. There is an increased intake of energy dense foods that are high in fat and sugars but low in vitamins, minerals & other health micro-nutrients.

A trend towards decreased physical activity levels, which is due to the increase in sedentary nature of many forms of recreation activities, change in the modes of transportation and increasing urbanization. With social development, increse in the use of technology by using mobiles, tablets, and computers changes the lifestyle of children and adolescents that leads to lacking of physical activity.

Various exercises have been designed for obesity such as Aerobic exercises, Jogging, Rope jumping, Endurance running & Basketball are found to be effective.

Health education is found to be useful for creating  awareness among the children & parents which include increase the consumption of fruits and vegetables as well as legumes, whole grains and nuts. The study also reported reduction of consumption of meat, snacks, western fast food, eating in restaurants and sugary drinks among children and parents.

Regular physical activity is important for prevention and management of obesity. It also helps in reducing the risk of disease which are caused due to obesity.

According to current evidences the moderate intensity exercise lasting for 45 – 60 min/day is required to prevent weight gain & 60 – 90 min of moderate exercise is required to sustain long term weight loss.

Do you Know How Vitamin C can protect your Newborn Babies?

Hello my healthy readers …. Came with a very informative post today. Hope you all will spread awareness on this issue. Participate with me to make a healthy community and share it with your family and friends.

The post most importantly focuses on the women who are smokers and can’t quit their smoking during pregnancies.

Women should put priority to quit smoking during pregnancy. Women who are unable to quit smoking during their pregnancy may reduce the harm which smoking does to their baby’s lungs by taking Vitamin C, according to a new randomized, controlled trial.

Daily supplemental vitamin C in pregnant women who could not quit smoking improved their newborn’s pulmonary function. At one year, the study also found that babies whose mothers took vitamin C were less likely to develop wheeze.

The mothers who smoked were randomized to either receive 500mg of supplemental vitamin C everyday or a placebo in addition to the same prenatal vitamin. They were encouraged throughout their pregnancies to quit smoking. On average, the mothers in both arms of the study who could not quit, smoked seven cigarettes a day. In this study there was significant difference in lung function between two groups of babies.

The study did not find a significant difference between two groups of babies in gestational age at delivery, delivery mode, incident of prematurity or birth-weight .

The researchers said that they are not certain why vitamin C has this protective effect on the lungs.

Pregnant smokers who will not or cannot quit despite all efforts, Vitamin C supplementation may be a simple & safe way to help their babies breath better.

Note : This information is based on the study, I am just trying to let the people know about it and encourage all the smoker women to quit smoking while their pregnancies. And try to improve a diet. You should take an advice of your Doctor/ Gynecologist to start Vitamin C supplementation.

Stay Hot, Stay Healthy.

Hello , My healthy community. What do you think about post through the title?  Looking Hot makes you healthy? Really? No way I am not at all talking about looking Hot, I am just talking about to be Hot ( body temperature). Not telling to get fever, lol.

We usually have the normal body temperature of 37 degree. When we get some injury/ infection we tend to get fever that is increase in body temperature than the normal. Fever develops to control the infection / inflammation within the body.  through this science fact a new research has done.

All the information below are through the research ….

The hotter our body temperature, the more our bodies speed up a key defence system that fights against tumors, wounds or infections, new research by a multidisciplinary team of mathematicians and biologists from the Universities of Warwick and Manchester has found.

  • Higher body temperatures speed our bodies’ responses to infections, wounds and tumors – researchers at the Universities of Warwick and Manchester prove.
  • Slight rise in temperature and inflammation – such as a fever – speeds up cellular ‘clock’ in which proteins switch genes on and off to respond to infection.
  • New understanding could lead to more effective and fast-working drugs which target a key inflammation protein found to be critical for the temperature response.

In normal life the 24 hour body clock controls small (1.5 degree) changes in body temperature.

Professor Mike White, lead biologist from the University of Manchester, said the study provides a possible explanation of how both environmental and body temperature affects our health:

“We have known for some time that influenza and cold epidemics tend to be worse in the winter when temperatures are cooler. Also, mice living at higher temperatures suffer less from inflammation and cancer. These changes may now be explained by altered immune responses at different temperatures.”

The research is published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (USA)Source

Anger Management with Reiki

“Anger is an emotion that calls the person feeling it to respond.”

I know for anger management there are so many ways I mean different types of therapies are there, but here I am going to discuss some important things about Anger and How I overcome my angriness through my life.

When I was in school in 7th – 8th grade at that time I used to have so much angriness issues. And it was present till my 2nd -3rd year of college education. Anger destroys your mental status. Reasons behind angry nature or getting angry through just a small stimuli are varies in person to person.

Basically most general causes of anger problems are stress, abuse, poor social or familial situations & poverty.  Some medical conditions are also responsible for anger like drug addiction, mental instability, alcoholism, biochemical changes, post traumatic stress disorder. Psychological disorder such as anxiety and depression also leads to anger.

Prolonged or intense anger and frustration contributes to physical conditions such as Headaches, Digestive problems, High blood pressure and Heart diseases.

ANGER MANAGEMENT IS A PSYCHO-THERAPEUTIC PROGRAM FOR ANGER PREVENTION & CONTROL.

Getting enough sleep, exercise and good diet are tools which assist in preventing anger. These things will help you to prevent and control anger by working on physical body.

We all have a very powerful spiritual body and according to Yoga – Reiki – Spiritual healing, we have 7 main chakras in our body. When there is imbalance in our any 1 chakra there will be some type of discomfort or some medical condition in our physical body appears. So, angry nature or getting angry in a little thing without any reason suggests imbalance in Ajna(Brow/Third-eye)  Chakra.

I learned Reiki first and second level in year 2012. Reiki has changed my personality completely. Reiki energy heals your past emotions which are responsible for triggering anger in a particular situation. So with time Reiki heals everything, cleanses your chakras and balances your Ajna(Brow/Third-eye) chakra.

Reiki energy adds forgiveness in our nature. That’s what happened with me, after becoming Reiki healer I have learned to forgive (not from the level of mind but from the level of soul). And that removed my angriness through my life. It doesn’t mean that you’ll never get angry. You may get angry but it will take time. You will be able to control your anger when there is silly reason or the problem have solution. You will realize that in this situation getting angry is not a solution. And by this you will learn to control your anger.

Fiber Rich Foods For Daily Consumption.

What is fiber?

Dietary fiber is the indigestible portion of food derived from plants. There are two types of fiber – Soluble fiber which dissolves in water, it slows down digestion & Insoluble fiber helps in smooth and ease defecation.

Usually we should consume foods which are high in fiber daily. So that we can prevent any health problems related to constipation, indigestion and all. When a nutrionist  suggest his/her patients a high fiber diet , which means the patients have some issues related to indigestion – constipation or something else. There may be various reasons for particular condition of patient but what I am try to say is our daily diet should include high fiber foods to prevent any health conditions.

Let’s jump into the foods which contain high fiber are :

  • Apple (1 medium) – 5 gms of dietary fiber
  • Pear (1 medium) – 6 gms of dietary fiber
  • Sweet potato (1 medium) – 4gms of dietary fiber
  • Broccoli (1 medium stalk) – 3 gms of dietary fiber
  • Green beans (3/4th cup) – 3gms of dietary fiber
  • Onion (1 medium) – 3 gms of dietary fiber
  • Avocado (1/2) – 5 gms of dietary fiber
  • Black beans (1/2 cup cooked) – 8 gms of dietary fiber
  • Lentils (1/2 cup cooked) – 8 gms of dietary fiber

Based on energy intake, a level of about 40g of fiber/2000 Kcal in a diet is considered reasonably safe by Indian council of Medical Research.Intakes in excess of 60 g of fibre over a day can reduce the absorption of nutrients and may cause irritation in the bowel apart from diarrhoea.

Dietary fibers can lower the glycemic impact of foods, which can be especially beneficial for people managing their blood sugar levels. A high fiber diet can reduce the risk of stroke, hypertension and heart diseases. Also helps in weight loss and weight management.

Information given above are in very short and sweet manner. If you want to know more in detail then do let me know in the comments below. Thank you so much for reading. Improve your daily diet now if you prefer more on junk.
